File storage on Physics Windows systems

The best place to keep your files is in your “My Documents” directory (which can also be found under the “Libraries” section). This directory gets mapped to your home folder on our file server. Please don't try to store files anywhere else on the workstation C: drive, as other areas are not backed up and may be wiped clean without warning!

Adding Fonts on Windows 7

Adding fonts on the Windows 7 workstations doesn't follow the normal “Fonts Control Panel” method.

Your profile contains a folder named “My Fonts” (you can find it in the file explorer next to My Documents, etc). If you have additional fonts you need to use, copy them into this folder (font files normally have an extension like .ttf or .otf). Next time you log in, the fonts should be available for use.
