Connecting to the network at Physics

Network Connections

  • Wired network in PAN or Tate Lab. The wired network in these buildings is managed directly by Physics IT, not by the University. To connect a new computer to the Physics wired network, please follow this guide.
  • Wireless networks are provided by the university: here are the directions for the University of Minnesota wireless system.
  • Tate Lab classroom podium network jacks, are provided by classroom services, and require separate registration. More information at http://www.classroom.umn.edu/faq/network.html

Many visitors from other institutions may also be able to use the eduroam wireless network without any special preparation.
