Campuses:
This is an old revision of the document!
These are very basic outline directions. Printing to the copiers should already be set up on our dept-managed Windows (active directory) and linux systems.
Here are the print driver manuals for the Xerox 5775 copiers:
You can find drivers on the Physics web site under MyPhys, although you may prefer to download direct from Xerox, as we won't promise to keep ours up to date.
The driver we have available for download for Windows are the Xerox Global print drivers (PostScript), which should work for any of our Xerox network printers, as well as the copiers.
You must also set up the print driver to use page accounting, using your personal copier code from MyPhys. If you don't provide your copy code, the machine will print nothing but an error page.
Although printing to these copiers works from our dept managed linux systems, making it work for other systems requires special editing of the PPD file, which is beyond the scope of what we can provide help for on this website.
The Xerox copiers also support printing by uploading a file through the web. This should work for any print-ready file including Postscript or PDF.
